Pierre SIMON Iwao
- He founded the Oshinkan dojo-school in 1992 on his return to France from Japan.
- He has devoted the last 48 years of his life to the study of the Japanese martial practice, to the study of the traditional Japanese culture, to yoga and to hoplology.
- From 1984 until 1992, he spent 8 years in Japan, having taught aikido and yoga in France. Nowadays, he travels to Japan several months every year.
- He belongs to many Japanese martial traditions and was awarded different titles : shihan of both the Toda-ha Bukô-ryû and the Negishi-ryû shurikenjutsu traditions, mokuroku (teaching scrolls) of the Tatsumi-ryû heihô tradition, and the 5th dan Okuiri in the Shindô Musô-ryû tradition.
- He practices Okinawa Karatedo Goju-ryû Shoreikan, the shakuhachi (traditional Japanese flute), and pursues the study of the polishing of the Japanese sword that he learnt while living in Japan.
- He also practiced aikido for 10 years under the authority of Tamura Nobuyoshi shihan in France.
